- The Government’s new Visitor Economy Growth Plan will be launched in the Autumn – this is a crucial policy opportunity for campaigners
- The Culture Secretary has publicly pledged to review the evidence on VAT-free shopping
- The Treasury is actively looking for new growth measures and has yet to look at VAT-free shopping
- A major new report on the impact VAT-free shopping will provide new evidence, based on real data and using multiple trusted methodologies

Over the past five years, AIR has established a rich source of knowledge and data, as well as a good understanding of HMT thinking and how the government is likely to react to points and argument put forward by campaigners.
We also know many of the key players, their roles and their thoughts on tax-free shopping so can both guide you and, if appropriate, make introductions.
We have just six months to make our case so the new Tax-Free 2025 Information Hub is a short cut to help you make the most effective use of this time.

A forum for coordinating activities, synchronising messaging, updating on progress, and exchanging information and ideas.
The contributions to the campaign over the past five years from businesses, trade bodies, BIDs and individuals have been vital to maintaining momentum and ensuring that tax-free shopping remains a live issue.
As activities intensify during this crucial period up to the Budget, AIR has established a new Campaigners Forum to allow everyone involved in the campaign to get together regularly to share information and advice and ensure strength through coordination.
